Position Scope

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Plan and oversee the organization’s marketing activities and campaigns.
  • She/he will be the one to ensure that all marketing operations are successful in meeting the goals set by management.

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies by :

  • Assisting in written content creation of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Supporting development and execution of marketing campaigns, including email, social media, and advertising.
  • Communicating with customers and responding to their inquiries in all marketing communication platforms.
  • Analyzing marketing metrics and providing report writing for each marketing activity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing campaigns are executed on time and on budget.
  • Update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in marketing.
  • Coordinating and scheduling events, trade shows, and other marketing activities.
  • Assisting in market research to identify consumer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Assist in organizing and attending marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
  • Assist in planning, advertising, and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print, etc.)
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
  • Assisting the Data Analyst in data analysis and reports
  • Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote the success of activities and enhance the company’s presence
  • See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics
  • Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content creation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors
  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard-copy brochures and case studies
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the Marketing department
  • Other duties assigned.

DELIVERABLES

  • Responsible for communicating a company's marketing message and managing campaigns.
  • Brand promotion, helping design the annual sales plan, planning marketing events, writing sales copy, and reporting to the General Manager.
  • Communicating our product positioning and value propositions to prospective buyers
  • Articulate the customer problem that a company’s product is trying to solve.
  • Regularly collect information from multiple sources, develop strategies to analyze it and position against it, and setting up processes and tools to disseminate this quickly and regularly to the sales teams.

Requirements

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in marketing, business administration, or relevant field
  • Minimum 3-4 Years’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG category
  • Professional qualification in a related field would be an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
  • BSc/BA in marketing, business administration, or relevant field

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a marketing officer or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
  • Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach

Other Factors:

The job requires flexibility –may involve irregular working hours,Job requires working in varying locations.
