Job Objective

The Waiter(S)/Waitress(es) will play a crucial role in enhancing the guests' dining experience by providing personalized service, taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Present menus and provide detailed explanations of menu items, highlighting specials and recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders to guests' tables.
  • Serve meals and beverages to guests, adhering to fine dining service standards and proper etiquette.
  • Monitor table settings and maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout the meal service.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and promptly address any concerns or special requests to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Suggest wine and beverage pairings based on guests' preferences and menu selections.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including bartenders and hosts/hostesses, to provide a cohesive and exceptional guest experience.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and sourcing.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance service skills and stay updated on menu offerings

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or similar upscale dining environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage pairing, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including the culinary and service teams and the marketing and sales departments
  • Reporting skills and attention to detail.
