Job Description
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and filings (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, etc.)
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitor project costs and provide cost control insights (construction-specific)
Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting (construction industry experience is an added advantage)
CPA (K) qualification or progress towards completion is preferred
Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
High level of integrity, maturity, and professionalism
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
