Position Scope

Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Job Purpose
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for the company’s facilities management services across Uganda. The role focuses on developing long-term service contracts with corporate clients, NGOs, commercial property owners, and institutions requiring professional facilities management solutions.

Job Description

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for facilities management services including cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, waste management, and integrated facility services.
• Build strong relationships with corporate organizations, property developers, facility managers, NGOs, hotels, hospitals, universities, and government institutions.
• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline targeting long-term service contracts.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions for facilities management services.
• Participate in public and private sector tender processes and track procurement opportunities.
• Conduct client meetings and site visits to assess service requirements and prepare customized solutions.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure service proposals are technically and financially viable.
• Negotiate contract terms and support closing of new service agreements.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the facilities management sector in Uganda.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and client engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within facilities management, property management, cleaning services, security services, or similar service industries.
• Demonstrated experience in acquiring B2B service contracts.
• Experience working with corporate, institutional, or government clients in Uganda will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of tendering processes and procurement systems.
