Position: Junior School Teacher (Agriculture and Nutrition).

Job Summary:
The JSS Agriculture and Nutrition Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons in agriculture and nutrition to Junior Secondary School students. The role involves equipping learners with knowledge and skills related to food production, healthy eating, and sustainable agricultural practices. The teacher is also expected to guide students in practical activities, assess their academic progress, and foster interest in agriculture and nutrition while maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment
Plan and deliver effective Agriculture and Nutrition lessons in line with the curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.
Guide students in practical agricultural activities and nutrition projects.
Assess and evaluate students’ academic progress.
Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
Encourage students to develop interest in agriculture, healthy living, and sustainability.
Participate in school activities and support the overall development of learners.
Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Nutrition, Agricultural Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Must be TSC registered or eligible for registration.
At least 1 year teaching experience, preferably in a school environment.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners.
Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans. Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
