The Creative Art Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression, and artistic development among students. The teacher will guide learners in exploring different art techniques such as drawing, painting, and crafts while creating a supportive and inspiring classroom environment. The role also involves assessing students’ progress, organizing creative activities, and nurturing students’ artistic talents and confidence in line with the school curriculum(CBE).
Plan, prepare and deliver art lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials appropriate to learners’ levels.
Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of art among students.
Assess, evaluate, and record students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare learners for exhibitions, competitions, and school art activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized art classroom and storage areas.
Ensure proper use, care, and storage of art materials and equipment.
Identify and nurture learners’ artistic talents.
▪ Diploma or Degree in Creative Art, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
▪ At least one (1) year of teaching experience, preferably in a school environment.
▪ Strong creativity and the ability to inspire young learners.
▪ Good classroom management and communication skills.
▪ Passion for nurturing students’ artistic talents.
▪Strong knowledge of various art techniques and materials. ▪Excellent communication and classroom management skills ▪Creative, patient, and passionate about teaching art. ▪Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teachers.
