The Art Teacher shall be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging art lessons that inspire creativity and artistic expression among learners. The role supports the holistic development of students by nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation of visual arts in line with the school curriculum(CBE)
Plan, prepare and deliver art lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials appropriate to learners’ levels.
Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of art among students.
Assess, evaluate, and record students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare learners for exhibitions, competitions, and school art activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized art classroom and storage areas.
Ensure proper use, care, and storage of art materials and equipment.
Identify and nurture learners’ artistic talents.
▪ Diploma or Degree in Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
▪ At least 1 year teaching experience, preferably in a school environment
▪Strong knowledge of various art techniques and materials. ▪Excellent communication and classroom management skills ▪Creative, patient, and passionate about teaching art. ▪Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teachers.
