Position Scope

Our partner, an innovative and growing company, is looking to fill the Executive Driver role. The Executive Driver is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to senior executives within the organization.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving:
    • Safely operate a company-provided vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
    • Transport executives assigned and/or visitors to and from corporate facilities, special events, and specified locations within Nairobi and outlying areas.
    • Will play a key role in ensuring the security and safety of company leaders, directors, and guests and timely arrival at destination.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: 
    • Perform basic vehicle inspections ensuring that the vehicle is roadworthy with relevant standard requirements needed for operation, and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department. 
    • Keep the vehicle ready, clean, and on standby-  for use at all times
    • Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares, etc.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to the executives and ensure confidentiality of any conversations, materials, or information heard and/or observed during the performance of duties
  • Professionalism: Represent the organization professionally at all times, exhibiting a courteous and respectful demeanor.
  • Reporting: Accurately completes driver trip sheet for each shift with information including driver number, vehicle number, pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, destinations, purpose of trip, etc.
  • Carry out other tasks as designated by the Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Driving Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience driving executive-level vehicles ((or equivalent position).
  • Valid License: Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and emergency procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent driving skills, including defensive driving techniques.
  • Appearance: Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with various individuals.
  • Must demonstrate sound and rapid decision-making under stressful or emergency conditions and have the ability to think independently to solve problems.
