JOB TITLE: MANAGER – OUTSOURCED ACCOUNTING SERVICES
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a reputable professional services firm providing accounting, tax, audit, and advisory services to a diverse client base, is seeking to recruit an experienced Manager–Outsourced Accounting Services to lead client accounting engagements and enhance service delivery across its portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing outsourced accounting services, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and tax compliance, leading accounting teams, and supporting client and revenue growth.

Job Description

  • Manage and review outsourced accounting engagements for multiple clients
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management accounts
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs and Kenyan regulatory requirements
  • Review and approve tax filings including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and Withholding Tax
  • Supervise, mentor, and review work of accounting staff
  • Maintain quality control, ethical standards, and proper documentation
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients and attend client meetings
  • Identify advisory, cross-selling, and revenue growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA (K) qualification and active ICPAK membership
  • 6–8 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Kenyan tax laws, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, client management, and communication skills
