Job Title: Project Management Consultant (PMC) – Office Buildout & Move-In
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reports to: Senior Business Manager
Role Purpose
The Project Management Consultant (PMC) will lead the end-to-end delivery of a commercial office fit-out project in Nairobi, from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, move-in, and post-occupancy stabilization. The PMC will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
Provide overall leadership across project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk
Act as the primary client representative throughout the project lifecycle
Manage project execution from design review through move-in and close-out
Review design proposals, bills of quantities, and contractor/consultant submissions
Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, master schedule, and cost plan
Lead design coordination and manage design freeze milestones
Develop and implement the procurement strategy
Support proposal evaluation, contractor selection, and award recommendations
Manage consultant and contractor performance against agreed deliverables
Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
Monitor progress against schedule and budget, addressing deviations promptly
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts
Maintain and update the project risk register
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks
Prepare weekly site and progress reports
Submit bi-weekly reports covering schedule, cost, risk, HSE, and critical path
Prepare stage-gate reports at key milestones
Ensure all project documentation is complete and up to date
Oversee commissioning, handover, and defect resolution
Coordinate installation, move-in readiness, and post-occupancy stabilization
Deliver comprehensive project close-out documentation
7–10+ years’ experience delivering commercial office fit-out projects as a PMC or Project Manager
Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
Strong experience in office design management, procurement, scheduling, and cost control
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder teams
Knowledge of Nairobi permitting processes, HSE regulations, and landlord requirements
