Position Scope

Job Objective

The F&B Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant's dining area, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service quality standards, and managing a team of wait staff.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of wait staff to ensure they deliver consistent and exceptional customer service.
  •  Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and gather feedback
  • Welcome and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring their needs are anticipated and met throughout their dining experience.
  • Monitor the dining room to ensure guests are comfortable, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Handle guest complaints or inquiries with tact and resolve them to their satisfaction.
  • Maintain and uphold the restaurant's high service standards, ensuring that all staff follow proper protocols and adhere to fine dining etiquette.
  • Oversee the proper setting of tables and arrangement of dining areas to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Ensure that food and beverages are served promptly and accurately, adhering to established presentation guidelines
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages, tableware, and other dining essentials, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure all staff follow proper hygiene and sanitation standards, both in personal appearance and workspaces.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of health and safety regulations and ensure compliance
  • Training and Development:
  • Provide ongoing training to staff on service techniques, menu items, wine pairings, and any changes to restaurant policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among the team.
  • Prepare shift reports, attendance records, and other administrative documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Qualification/Requirement

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
  • Certificate in food safety and hygiene (preferred)

Experience

 

  • Proven experience of 3 years in a supervisory role within a fine dining restaurant environment.
  • Experience in fine dining 5* restaurant.
