Job Title: Painters
Location: Tatu city, Riuru.

Job Summary:
The Painter is responsible for preparing and finishing surfaces by applying paint, varnish, and other coatings to walls, ceilings, and structures. The role involves carrying out surface preparation through skeeming (plaster skimming) and applying multiple coats—Mat 1, Mat 2, and the final finish—to achieve a high-quality, durable appearance that meets project standards.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing imperfections.
Carry out skeeming (application of plaster skim coat) to ensure smooth, even surfaces before painting.
Mix and match paint colors and materials as required.
Apply Mat 1 (first coat), Mat 2 (second coat), and final coat systematically to achieve consistent coverage and texture.
Inspect finished surfaces to ensure uniformity, coverage, and adherence to quality standards.
Maintain painting tools, brushes, and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE when handling materials and equipment.
Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure timely completion of assigned areas.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a professional painter in construction or finishing works.
Knowledge of surface preparation, paint types, and coating techniques.
Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
Understanding of safety and site protocols.
