Position Scope

Our client in FMCG industry specifically beverages section is seeking to recruit a committed and successful van sales representative, who will be typically responsible for actively engaging their customers to sell their products directly from a company's van or vehicle to customers at various locations on designated routes, collecting payments, maintaining accurate sales records, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Job Description

  • Driving the company van and selling products to customers.
  • Actively engage by visiting all customers on the mapped out territory and journey plan.
  • Engaging customers on physically and phone to collect purchase orders.
  • Ensure Minimum product assortement purchase plans for all clients.
  • Delivering purchase orders and informing existing customers of new products.
  • Serve and provid excllent customer service to all clients by following outlined sales procedures.
  • Increasing sales by promoting products and analyzing competitor behavior.
  • Ensuring 100% collection of sales made in a day.
  • Undertake daily stocks reconcilliation upon return from route.
  • Maintaining sales and delivery records.
  • Engaging prospective customers to meet daily, weekly, monthly, quartetly, and annual sales targets.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure optimal customer services.
  • Preventing damage to the assigned company vehicle and the company products being transported.
  • Performing basic van maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, and gas and oil levels.

Requirements

  • College diploma in Sales.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in marketing is an added advantage.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a van salesman, or similar.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is a must.
  • Exceptional ability in meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to use basic sales selling tools such as mobile devices, ETR Machines, and CRM apps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and sales-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and closing tactics.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculating prices, discounts, and order totals.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry merchandise.
