Position Scope

Job Title: Operations Supervisor – Facilities Management

Reports To: Managing Director

Role Purpose

To oversee and optimize day-to-day operations of the facilities management business while driving growth through client acquisition and relationship management. The role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience in facilities management, strong leadership skills, and a commercial mindset to support business development initiatives.

Job Description

1. Operational Management

  • Lead and manage all facilities management services (hard and soft services), ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), statutory requirements, and health & safety standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and performance contracts.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management.

2. Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate site managers, supervisors, and support staff.
  • Recruit, train, and retain skilled team members while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.

3. Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in facilities management and related services.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on pricing strategies and market positioning.

4. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare operational reports, financial forecasts, and KPI analyses for management.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and occupational health regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in facilities management or property management, with at least 3 years in a senior operations role.
  • Proven track record in managing large, multi-site facilities operations.
  • Demonstrated success in business development or sales within the FM or related service industry.
