We are a leading East African Background Checks company offering screening services including Employment Screening, Vendor Due Diligence, KYC, and KYB across Kenya, East Africa, and Africa at large. We support organizations in making informed hiring and partnership decisions through reliable and timely background checks.

Role Purpose:

To drive business growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with corporate organizations requiring background screening services, while maintaining strong client relationships to support long-term growth.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate clients across various sectors.
  • Present and promote the company’s screening services (Employment Screening, Vendor Due Diligence, KYC, KYB) to potential clients.
  • Generate leads, conduct sales pitches, prepare proposals, and close sales to achieve set revenue targets.
  • Maintain strong follow-ups to convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HR Managers, Compliance Teams, Procurement Departments, and C-level stakeholders.
  • Track market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless onboarding of clients and service delivery.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and achieved targets.
  • Attend networking events and industry forums to enhance the company’s visibility.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in HR services, compliance solutions, background checks, or similar service industries.
  • Experience working in a commission-based sales environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong corporate client relationships.
  • An aggressive, self-driven sales approach with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, KYC, KYB, or screening processes is an added advantage.

Academic Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  2. Additional certifications in sales, digital marketing, or customer relationship management will be an added advantage.

Compensation:

This role is commission-based with a retainer, providing an opportunity to grow earnings based on performance.
