Position Scope

  • The selected operations manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse through supervising and strategizing operations and process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of loading and offloading activities
  • The individual musst be knowledagble of complaince rules for Health and safety, distribution, county, and national government stipulations which he/she will oversee to ensure maximum compliance.
  • The candidate will help create strategic improvement processes to ensure health and compliance, smooth stocks movement, warehouse floor arrangement, and cleanliness.

Job Description

Ø Logistics and trucks dispatching: Ensure all trucks are dispatched to trade by 8.00 am on time and are back by 6.30 Pm.

Ø Fleet Management: Assists in ensuring efficient trucks operations.

Ø Ensure zero tolerance to theft and drunkenness in the warehouse.

Ø Confirm deliveries in your department and sign off different delivery notes.

Ø Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse at all times.

Ø Supervise warehouse loader as they execute their jobs ensuring safety and compliance.

Ø Ensure no person is in the workplace without total compliance of the organization and safety rules.

Ø Responsible for ensuring all business operations certificates are up-to-date.

Ø Loaders Management: Have a clear printed out schedule of all warehouse loaders in the entity.

Ø Participate in developing workplace rules and safety regulations.

Ø Compliance to Health and Safety standards: enforce compliance to health and safety standards in the warehouse.

Ø Maintain safe custody of company assets such as garments, PPEs, car spare parts, car keys, and replacements.

Ø Prepare reports and documentation related to warehouse operations including inventory levels, deliveries, and stock levels.

Ø Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, finance, and sales to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth operations.

Requirements

  • BA in Administration or a related course.
  • 4-5 years’ experience in busy FMCG working environment.
  • 3-4 Years experience as a fleet manager moreso for trucks.
  • Ability to multitask and cooordinate a small team.
