Marketing & Growth Coordinator

Location: Nairobi.
Reports To: General Manager.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven Marketing & Growth Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced and growing book publishing firm. This role is central to developing and executing marketing strategies that promote our books, authors, and brand, while also identifying opportunities for audience engagement and business growth.

The successful candidate will coordinate marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and analyze performance data to optimize efforts. You’ll play a key role in expanding our readership, increasing book sales, and supporting the growth of our publishing brand.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns to promote new and backlist titles.

·         Collaborate with authors, editors, designers, and sales teams to create compelling promotional content and materials.

·         Coordinate book launches, author events, email marketing, and social media campaigns.

·         Manage the company’s social media accounts and online presence to increase engagement and followers.

·         Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to inform strategies.

·         Analyze marketing performance data and report on campaign effectiveness (e.g., ROI, engagement, conversions).

·         Support SEO strategies and digital advertising (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

·         Build and manage relationships with bookstores, media partners, influencers, and literary communities.

·         Contribute to the development of the company’s brand voice and identity across channels.

·         Maintain a marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaign milestones.



 

Requirements

Key Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

·         Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and social media trends.

·         Excellent communication, creativity, and project management skills.

·         Ability to build partnerships with authors, media, and distributors.

·         Familiarity with book industry trends and audience engagement strategies.

·         Experience in book publishing, media, or content marketing

·         Ability to analyze market data and adapt strategies accordingly.

·         Creativity in developing innovative marketing campaigns

·         Proficiency in social media management, email marketing tools, and CRM systems
