As the Agri Team Leader – Packhouse, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing operations within the packhouse, ensuring the efficient handling, processing, and packaging of agricultural products. You will lead a team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of the packhouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Manage a team of packhouse workers, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee product quality control, ensuring all items are processed and packaged according to company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the packhouse environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Implement best practices for efficient inventory management, storage, and stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packhouse efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within an agri-packhouse or a busy warehouse environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
  • Good knowledge of agricultural processing, packaging, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory management systems is a plus.
